Gassan Blue Moon

Lake Gassan, located in Nishikawa Town, Yamagata Prefecture, is a lake connected to the Sagae River, known for its clear waters.

Mt. Gassan, a sacred mountain that rises in the central part of the prefecture, gathers its bountiful blessings.

When the sun sets and the moon rises, the brightness of the day changes, and a solemn night air envelops the area.

The dark surface of the lake, bathed in moonlight, makes the waves float faintly.
