Zao Onsen is a hot spring resort located in the southeastern part of Yamagata City, at the foot of the Zao mountain range.
This hot spring, which is said to have a history of over 1900 years since its opening, is called "Bijin-no-Yu" (hot spring of beauty), and has been loved by many people for its strongly acidic sulfur spring, which is said to be good for the skin.
Abundant hot spring ingredients make the surface of the water slightly cloudy as "Yunohana".
