Minerva Box

"Minerva Box" is a very high quality leather produced by Badalassi Carlo, a long-established tannery in Florence, Tuscany, Italy, using a traditional method called the "Vacchetta method," which has a history of over 1,000 years. The "Vacchetta method" is characterized by the fact that the oil is not easily removed by soaking the leather in oil over a very long period of time. Every step of the process is carefully finished by skilled craftsmen one by one by hand, making it an old-fashioned, very inefficient and time-consuming method, but the finished product is soft and the grain gives off a natural texture with no gloss.
