"I want to create a one-of-a-kind inkpot. I want to create a unique inkpot that will make you feel relaxed just by having it on your desk, and make drawing fun!"

Original ink pot production started with the thought of Hachimonjiya.

●A studio in the forest of Akiu, Sendai. Atmosphere like something out of a Ghibli movie

Mr. Murayama is a popular glass artist who has won numerous awards and holds exhibitions every year.

Originally from Yamagata City, his parents' house is several hundred meters from Hachimonjiya's main store. "Hachimonjiya is a store I've been familiar with since I was little. When I was a kid, I used to play on the spiral staircase." thank you!

A very friendly master from Yamagata City (It seems that being called a master is embarrassing)

After several discussions about the capacity and shape of the ink pot, we decided to try making an apple-shaped ink pot.

In the early Showa era, the apple motif was used as a book cover and as an icon in the store at Hachimonjiya.

- What kind of ink pot will this green apple be reborn! ?
