Tohoku stretches long from south to north.
As the cherry blossom front slowly moves upward through the region,
you can see countless sakura trees lining streets and castle towns along the way.
This ink is inspired by the sight of cherry blossoms blooming slowly and gracefully across Tohoku, one after another.
About TOHOKU BASIC INK
A collection themed around the seasonal transitions of Tohoku — a region in the northeastern part of Japan — from winter to spring, and spring to early summer, expressing the fleeting beauty of these shifting moments in color.
NE6 TOHOKU BUNGU LAB.
A collaborative project formed by stationery stores from all six prefectures of Tohoku, under the concept of “Sharing the charm of Tohoku through stationery.”
Since 2020, the group has developed various products that draw interest to the region, including collaborations with mizutama, an illustrator based in Yamagata.
