Before you lies a single brown envelope.
As you open it and look inside, you find several folded sheets of manuscript paper.
Suddenly, you feel an irresistible urge to read them.

A completely new form of literary work, conceived and written by n-buna, the composer and lyricist of the popular artist Yorushika.

Composed of 32 envelopes and approximately 170 sheets of manuscript paper and stationery, this extraordinary work allows readers to experience the story by actually opening each envelope themselves—an unprecedented form of immersive literature.

Synopsis

“I saw your flyer. If possible, would you be willing to critique my work?”

A strange correspondence begins with a single letter between a boy who writes poetry and a well-read “teacher.”

“From now on, you must find a single grain of amber in a vast sea of sand.”

Guided by the teacher’s words, the boy comes to know language and the world.
But one day, he begins to sense a subtle unease hidden within their exchange of letters—
and the secret correspondence gradually leads to an unexpected truth.

“Teacher… who are you, really?”

Through the experience of opening real envelopes and letters one by one, Yorushika, one of the leading artists of contemporary Japan, presents an entirely new kind of epistolary novel.
