The motif for this fountain pen comes from the mesmerizing jellyfish displayed at Kamo Aquarium in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture.
Kamo Aquarium is renowned for having the largest variety of jellyfish species on display in the world.
Its highlight attraction is the “Jellyfish Dream Theater,” a massive five-meter-wide tank where about 10,000 jellyfish drift gracefully in illuminated waters.
The pen’s end cap and finial are made of clear parts inspired by water, while the barrel and cap are sprinkled with Metashine, fine glass flakes that create a soft, understated shimmer—different from glitter—evoking the way light filters through the great tank.
The nib is engraved with a jellyfish motif, allowing the entire fountain pen to capture the mystical beauty of jellyfish floating in a vast, glowing aquarium.
