Shitankobu

[Characteristics of the wood] Native to Southeast Asia. One of the three most famous Chinese woods. It has a dark reddish purple color and a beautiful luster when polished.

Rosewood burl is extremely valuable because it is rarely available except for Honduran rosewood. It is often used for furniture and Buddhist altars.
